Is there life after Christmas?

So we survived Christmas. All four of us took the ferry over to Finland and then drove all the way to my parents some 500 kilometres away from Turku. It was a very relaxing vacation. It snowed two days before Christmas and the kids went nuts with building snowmen and snowball lanterns.

Santa came for a visit at Christmas and Daniel got like a thousand Christmas gifts. One of the presents was a set of skis. Real skis with ski boots. He liked them a lot. It's a shame that we don't have that much snow here in Stockholm so we could teach him skiing. He did try them in Finland. And the most fun part according to him was the falling. He was skiing around the house and fell about forty times. He got better at skiing as well, but his knees were like rubber and he kept on falling on purpose. I noticed that it was a good thing that I didn't become a teacher because I have no patience what so ever when he doesn't even pretend to try.

He's the best kid in the universe anyways. He's getting pretty musical. He was "playing" the piano with feeling and he's constantly singing. Everything can be made into a song and every song he makes up ends with a very beautiful and eardrum smoothing high note. So we're thinking a career as a stuntman or the next American Idol. You saw it here first.
