Picking blueberries

Blueberry slingshot

This summer has been a lousy one weatherwise in Sweden. We have nice warm weather now, in the end of August. Nobody's on vacation in the end of August. At least the Johnson family's not on vacation now. We took advantage of the fall-like weather a couple of weeks ago though, and went to a near-by forest to pick blueberries. That's one of the great things about living in Stockholm: nothing's far away. Except warm weather during one's vacation and both our families... So off we go to the forest, us parents and Daniel with the mission of finding at least two liters of blueberries. It took us less than an hour to complete that mission. It would've been completed even faster if Marc hadn't stumbled and accidentally dropped half his blueberries on the ground. Daniel was of course bored out of his mind after fifteen minutes. But he's got a lot of imagination and he was entertaining himself by pretending that a sapling was a slingshot, blueberries were his flying rocks and bumblebees were the targets. We are proud.
