Blueberry slingshot

This summer has been a lousy one weatherwise in Sweden. We have nice warm weather now, in the end of August. Nobody's on vacation in the end of August. At least the Johnson family's not on vacation now. We took advantage of the fall-like weather a couple of weeks ago though, and went to a near-by forest to pick blueberries. That's one of the great things about living in Stockholm: nothing's far away. Except warm weather during one's vacation and both our families... So off we go to the forest, us parents and Daniel with the mission of finding at least two liters of blueberries. It took us less than an hour to complete that mission. It would've been completed even faster if Marc hadn't stumbled and accidentally dropped half his blueberries on the ground. Daniel was of course bored out of his mind after fifteen minutes. But he's got a lot of imagination and he was entertaining himself by pretending that a sapling was a slingshot, blueberries were his flying rocks and bumblebees were the targets. We are proud.

Hello,
You are right to be proud of raising such an inventive young man, surely he's been inventing very formidable slingshots at home, too. It's always good to see things fly in your livingroom. :)
A little about me... I'll continue working at the defence forces, I'll be doing three days a week until the end of May. What it means is I won't have to live in depravity for once, I'll be just poor. Which is an improvement, i guess.
The university semester is starting again and obviously I won't be doing that many courses anymore. I don't have to either, I'll have enough credits once I'm done with the advanced studies. And that will be in two semesters.
Well, anyhow. Just thought I'd write something, so that the little inventor's mom wouldn't lose faith in blogging. People do read your stories, you know. :)
See yous,
Teemu
